Family, law enforcement, and the Aiken, South Carolina community are urgently searching for 4-year-old Javeayah Harris, who was reported missing from her family’s home on the evening of Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, Javeayah was last seen around 8:15 p.m. near the area of Hillsboro Street and Ridgecrest Road. Authorities describe her as a smart, talkative, and friendly young girl who loves Minnie Mouse and enjoys playing outdoors.
Javeayah is approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 42 pounds. She was last seen wearing Minnie Mouse pajamas, pink beads in her braided hair, and possibly Crocs. Officials also noted that she may be able to fit into small spaces, prompting concern and urgency in the search efforts.
Since her disappearance, a large-scale search operation has been launched involving local, state, and federal agencies. More than 200 personnel, including law enforcement officers, first responders, and specialized teams, have been deployed to assist in locating her.
Search efforts have covered over 3,000 acres, utilizing ground teams, helicopters, drones, and trained search dogs. Investigators are also canvassing neighborhoods, speaking with potential witnesses, and analyzing available data with assistance from the FBI.
Authorities confirmed that, at this time, the case is being treated as a missing child investigation. Officials explained that specific criteria must be met before issuing an Amber Alert, and those conditions have not yet been satisfied.
Law enforcement has urged residents in the surrounding area to thoroughly check their properties, including yards, sheds, vehicles, and any spaces where a child might hide.
Sheriff Marty Sawyer expressed the urgency of the situation, stating that officials are working around the clock and remain fully committed to bringing Javeayah home safely.
